Why Use a Charge Air Cooler?
The Basic Purpose of a Charge Air Cooler is to provide cool dense air (Boost) to the engine. The maximum allowable intake manifold temperature and pressure loss is specified by the engine manufactures to insure that the required boost temperature and density are maintained. Pressure loss has a greater impact on boost density than temperature. This means a leaking Charge Air Cooler would have the greatest impact on performance which relates directly to higher operating costs. The chart below shows typical savings achieved by using The Ultimate Solution™, Charge Air Cooler.

SYMPTOMS OF NON-PERFORMING CHARGE AIR COOLERS:

• Loss of engine power
• Increased fuel consumption
• Exhaust manifold failure
• Premature piston, ring and valve failure
• Elevated coolant temperatures
• Turbocharger failures
