What is the function of the radiator in a truck?
The function of the radiator in a truck is to maintain optimal engine temperature regardless of the ambient operating temperature. Diesel truck engines are designed to work in a temperature range of 185° to 220° F (85° to 105° C). Should the truck radiator fail, usually either by leakage or blockage, then engine coolant temperature levels will increase and the engine may overheat.
